If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!Responsibilities Of The Role Will IncludeSetting up and management of Resident accountsLiaising with facilities regarding admissions to collect and verify relevant informationProcessing Resident separations including final accounts and advising appropriate financial staff of resident discharges or deathsProcessing fortnightly and monthly resident billing functions covering all Aged Care Homes and Retirement Estates/VillagesProcessing credits to Resident accounts from source documentationProcessing direct debit receipts and reports for authorisationUpdating and review of fees and charges according to notifications received from Services AustraliaLiaising with Accounts Receivable Team Leader regarding ongoing/outstanding account issuesResponding to enquiries from Residents and/or families in a timely mannerAssistance with Accounts Receivable Functions in the Community SectorProcessing cash, cheque and credit card paymentsFollowing up outstanding debtor accounts and debt collection processesAssisting in the monthly reconciliation of Medicare Payment Summaries with expected fundingPreparation and processing of Estate refunds for refundable accommodation deposits including liaison with client representatives/solicitorsPreparation and processing of Exit entitlement refunds for Retirement Village deposits including liaising with solicitorsProcessing non-estate refunds on discharge or as requested/reconciled as a credit due for refundProcessing general account reconciliationsWhat will you bring to the role?Previous Aged Care Administration experience (desired)Administrative support experienceComputerised accounting information systems experienceDemonstrated experience with the use of Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, database, email, internet)Highly developed written and oral communication and numerical skillsTime, task and priority managementWho is Southern Cross Care Queensland?Southern Cross Care Queensland (SCCQ) is a Catholic not-for-profit organisation established by the Knights of the Southern Cross, more than 40 years ago.
