We are seeking an experienced payroll compliance specialist, HR auditor, or finance professional to conduct an internal audit of payroll, HR, and finance systems ahead of an external review.
About the Role: This short-term project involves assessing compliance with the Fair Work Act, Fair Work Regulations 2019, and a 2023 Enterprise Agreement. The role includes auditing payroll records for a sample of employees across various classifications, locations, and employment types, reviewing employee classifications, identifying areas of non-compliance, and recommending corrective actions. The successful candidate will provide insights to improve payroll and HR processes before the external audit.
About You: The ideal candidate has experience in payroll compliance, HR auditing, finance, or industrial relations. A strong understanding of Fair Work legislation, enterprise agreements, and award interpretation is essential. Experience conducting audits or compliance reviews within HR or payroll functions is required, along with high attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to provide practical recommendations. The role requires availability to commence in May for a four-week contract.
