The HSSEQ Advisor for Delmar Systems in the APAC region is a hands-on role, providing direct support to the Managing Director, Operations, Engineering, and Asset Management teams. The HSSEQ Advisor is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of all Health, Safety, Security, Environmental, and Quality (HSSEQ) systems and practices. This role ensures that the company operates in compliance with local legislation, including the Work Health and Safety Act 2020, and meets Delmar's global HSSEQ standards. The HSSEQ Advisor will actively contribute to risk management, continuous improvement, and promoting a positive safety culture within the company. The HSSEQ Advisor acts as the focal point for the APAC region on HSSEQ matters, representing the region in company-wide HSSEQ meetings and working closely with other regional HSSEQ representatives. The role requires frequent travel to Delmar sites and client locations, including Karratha WA, Victoria and offshore sites (Vessel or Rig), to ensure practical HSSEQ management. Responsibilities and DutiesHSSEQ Execution (Non-Managerial):Develop, implement, maintain, and assess Delmar's Company Management System (CMS) to ensure compliance with both local and global legislative requirements, focusing on hands-on execution.Execute HSSEQ strategies that improve safety, security, environmental, and quality outcomes, with a focus on reducing Total Recordable Injury Frequency Rate (TRIFR) and Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR) through practical programs.Work directly with the Engineering, Operations, and Asset Management teams to develop processes and procedures that ensure their activities are compliant with HSSEQ standards, facilitating tasks that support operational success.Support the company's certification process for ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001.Lead and execute internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with ISO 45001, 14001, and 9001 standards.Identify areas for improvement, prepare detailed reports, and ensure corrective actions are implementedRisk Management and Compliance (Task-Oriented):Facilitate risk management workshops for operational teams, identifying and mitigating risks across business activities.Ensure all day-to-day operations and base activities are compliant with Delmar's HSSEQ and Company Management System requirements, taking ownership of compliance tasks.Manage and distribute communication-related to unwanted events, non-conformances, improvement suggestions, HSSEQ observations, and industry safety alerts.Support for Operations and Senior Management:Provide critical HSSEQ support to the Managing Director, Operations, and Engineering teams, ensuring alignment with operational goals through practical execution of HSSEQ initiatives.Work directly with the Asset Management team to ensure HSSEQ considerations are integrated into equipment and maintenance processes.Act as the APAC region's focal point for HSSEQ matters, attending company-wide HSSEQ meetings and collaborating with HSSEQ representatives from other regions to share best practices and align on strategies.Continuous Improvement and Training:Develop and implement practical engagement programs to raise awareness and promote a positive HSSEQ culture across all teams.Conduct HSSEQ training programs to ensure team members understand and comply with safety protocols, standards, and procedures.Analyse HSSEQ performance data and implement practical improvements that drive operational efficiency and safety outcomes.Emergency Response and Incident Management:Develop, maintain, and personally execute emergency response procedures, ensuring readiness through regular drills and exercises.Actively manage and coordinate emergency response activities, ensuring all procedures are compliant with both regulatory and operational standards.Personally lead and participate in incident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions Tender and Commercial Support:Take the lead on HSSEQ sections of commercial proposals and tenders, managing HSSEQ questionnaires and preparing comprehensive documentation packages to support the commercial team.Ensure all HSSEQ aspects of tenders meet Delmar's standards and client expectations.Supplier and Contractor HSSEQ Performance:Support the evaluation of the HSSEQ performance of suppliers and contractors, ensuring they align with Delmar Systems' standards.Ensure that contractors and suppliers meet Delmar's HSSEQ requirements and are aligned with company values and goals.Travel Requirements This position requires regular travel to Delmar operational sites, including Karratha, offshore platforms, and client locations, to ensure HSSEQ standards are being effectively implemented through hands-on involvement. Qualifications and CertificationsTertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.Certifications in Safety, Quality and Environmental management such as CSP, and ISO Lead Auditor (45001, 14001, or 9001) are highly desirable.Qualified in incident investigation methods (ICAM or TapRoot preferred).Skills and KnowledgeMinimum of 4 years' experience in an HSSEQ role within the Offshore or Energy Industry, with a hands-on focus.In-depth knowledge of Australian HSSEQ regulations, including the Work Health and Safety Act 2020, and global standards such as ISO 45001, 14001, and 9001.Strong skills in incident investigation, risk management facilitation, and working with cross-functional teams (Operations, Engineering, and Asset Management).Self-starter with a practical, "hands-on" approach to HSSEQ tasks, with strong execution and facilitation skills.Proficient in document and report writing.Maintains high accuracy with strong attention to detail.This is an exceptional opportunity to shape and develop an important function within a professional and dynamic business.
