Border Express currently has an exciting opportunity available for an Inbound Parcel Supervisor to join the operations team at our Brisbane Branch.This position is responsible for the loading, unloading and sorting of parcels into areas for delivery and tranship.Success in this position will be measured by sortation accuracy resulting in zero parcels misdirected, deadlines for linehaul loading are met 100% of the time, NIL Damages to customers’ freight and freight is stacked, packed and wrapped efficiently to facilitate linehaul loading.This position operates in a changing environment. Measurable and demonstrable continuous improvement across all levels of operational process, safety and service is an expectation.Duties:Ensure DIFOT targets are achieved by working with the operations teams to ensure all freight is delivered on time, in full and with no damages;Identify and initiate employee training where performance shortfalls are recognised or opportunities for advancement are presented;Oversee the safe, accurate and effective sortation of parcels in a timely manner, via Postcode, Destination, and Branch;Ensure that resource allocation is optimised at all times to reduce costs and achieve performance measures;Complete and maintain parcel processing records and all documentation associated as required;Plan and monitor all freight movements for effective utilisation in order to meet the operations time schedule.Skills and Experience:Forklift licence is preferred;Previous experience in the Transport Industry in a supervisory role;Sound knowledge of Dangerous Goods (DG) requirements, Load Restraint requirements, WHS and relevant transportation Acts and Regulations;Ability to follow company policy and ensure all staff adhere to relevant policies and procedures;Excellent written and verbal communication skills;A champion of positive workplace culture.Get to know Border Express:At Border Express we're committed 100% to providing the very best supply chain services for Australia.
