Lloyd's Register Adelaide, Australia What we're looking forThis role is critical in supporting our expanding defense-related new building endeavors. As a key figure within LR Australia, you will be responsible for the Material, Equipment, and Components (MEC) Certification for defense-related projects in Australia. Your responsibilities encompass overseeing MEC processes from inquiry to certification, while also assuming accountability for client training and education to enhance local industries' comprehension of LR's MEC Certification requirements. Collaboration is essential, requiring close interaction with new building project managers, teams, and clients, as well as liaising with LR surveyors and expert teams. Depending on expertise and certification types, attendance at MEC surveys may be required. This multifaceted role offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to the success and compliance of defense-related projects while fostering relationships across various stakeholders within LR and the wider industry.

This may involve Activity Monitoring.Undertake routine administration as required in line with current processes and procedures.What you BringA degree or equivalent from a tertiary organisation recognised by Lloyd's Register within the relevant field of engineering or physical science (minimum of two years programme) or Qualifications from a marine or nautical institution and relevant sea-going experience as a certificated ship's officerMembership of an appropriate professional institution (I.
