About the role In 2022 the Riverina area was impacted by multiple widespread flood events damaging National Parks infrastructure and fixed assets. National Parks and Wildlife Service has a rewarding career opportunity for a Project Officer to work as part of the Flood Recovery team responsible for restoring vital Parks assets with the Riverina region. You’ll work closely with the Senior Project Officer and gain valuable experience across the whole project lifecycle including: working collaboratively within the Branch to ensure identification, prioritisation and delivery of the flood recovery works programs working with asset management frameworks and systems including program supervision, coordination and data management supporting the implementation of major contracts including consultation, negotiation, documentation and execution for park management services, in accordance with relevant policies and procurement guidelines, and using financial and asset information/mapping systems such as the Asset Management System (AMS) and SAP to maintain and enhance data quality and improve of asset life cycle ongoing planning. About You Ideally you will have a strong track record gained from a similar restoration project role. We’re keen to hear from you if you can demonstrate diverse project and contract management support services, including preparation of reports and briefs, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation, procurement, and implementing and monitoring project plans. Essential Role Requirements Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant working experience in project management. Experience in development and delivery of projects, including the development of project plans, monitoring of project timelines, budgets and reporting requirements, and contract administration.
