GPA is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to join our growing team in Perth.
GPA Engineering is a highly experienced, multidisciplinary engineering and management firm delivering engineering, procurement and construction management services for over 30 years.
We develop, engineer and implement industrial scale projects across the oil & gas, defence, water treatment & distribution, mining & minerals, power generation & distribution, renewable energy and hydrogen sectors.
Your role of Project Manager at GPA Engineering is to manage a portfolio of projects across a range of process industries, including gas pipelines and compression, oil & gas, mining and minerals processing, hydrogen and biofuels.
You will be charged with providing managerial, technical and strategic oversight whilst working in a collaborative and supportive project delivery team environment.
Working as part of the Project Delivery team some of your key tasks include:
Lead the planning, management and strategic direction of small to large, complex, multidisciplinary and high-risk engineering projects to ensure successful delivery.
Direct and coordinate the resolution of design anomalies, technical challenges and project issues.
Establish and enforce conformity with project specifications, engineering standards and regulatory requirements across all project phases.
Liaise with clients and stakeholders at a strategic level to provide progress updates and address risks.
Oversee project progress through systematic monitoring and executive-level reporting.
Advise and provide strategic input on tendering processes.
Manage and oversee contract administration for large-scale engineering projects.
Lead site and client visits to provide high-level oversight.
Your Employment History and Attributes
Ideally, you will have:
A Bachelor of Engineering, preferably specialising in Mining/Oil & Gas or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of industrial experience in industries such as Oil & Gas, Mining & Minerals, or Water Treatment.
Solid design, operational and technical minerals processing or similar complex industrial experience.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
A positive mindset focused on solutions and customer service.
