About the Role
We are currently seeking casual Dental Assistants to join our dental teams. In this role, you will work 100% chairside, assisting our Dentists in providing dental services to Australian Defence Personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing assistance to Dentists
* Implementing infection control procedures within the dental surgery in accordance with National Standards and Defence Policies and Procedures
* Managing patients in accordance with approved protocols
* Maintaining optimal hygiene and cleanliness of the dental surgery managing patient clinical records, filing of hard copy reports, booking and recall of patients
* Participating in governance and quality improvement activities including clinical reviews, health surveillance and auditing
* Ordering and maintenance of clinical stores and pharmaceutical imprest supplies
* Performing regular checks, calibration and maintenance of clinical equipment
About ADF Health Services
In partnership with Bupa, our ADF Health Services team provides integrated healthcare services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) personnel across Australia.
This includes providing defence-ready clinical and support staff across 40+ on-base locations, ensuring that ADF personnel have access to quality on-site medical care.

Requirements
* Certificate III in Dental Assisting or nationally recognised equivalent qualification
* Minimum of 2 years full-time (or part-time equivalent) chair-side dental assisting experience with at least 2 years full-time equivalent within the last 5 years
* Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities
* Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification
