Description The Temple Department is seeking to appoint a Temple Clothing Supervisor. This is a permanent part-time position, working 19 hours per week, located at the Brisbane Australia Temple, and the successful candidate will be required to work from this location. This position reports to the Temple Recorder. This position is to provide an environment where patrons may have a positive and joyful experience each time they come to the temple. As Temple Clothing Supervisor, you will ensure clean and well cared for temple clothing and other linen supplies are available for temple patrons, workers, and employees. Responsibilities Insures prompt cheerful service to all patrons desiring temple clothing through proper scheduling and supervision of workers. Supervise staff while maintaining discipline and high morale of workers. Monitors and evaluates staff performance. Prepares time sheets and log of volunteer support hours. Maintains adequate inventory of rental clothing, cleaning materials by monitoring stocks and initiating requisitions for new supplies with adequate lead time Assures that all linen/clothing operation breaks even financially by correlating staff requirements, rental charges, purchases with Temple Recorder Oversees training of new workers through personal orientation, pairing new workers with experienced workers for details instructions and monitoring their interactions Qualifications At least two years linen and laundry experience (commercial or temple) Supervisor experience Experience in inventory control. Basic financial background Excellent interpersonal skills Physical flexibility – the ability to lift 25 kgs, bend, stoop, pull, push, and perform in a fast-paced environment; this position requires standing for extended periods of time Note: Only those with current legal authorisation to work in Australia should apply for this position.
