Job Description
Coastal Cocktails Pty Ltd, in Yeppoon QLD, requires Cooks & Chefs to work in a busy establishment. Qualifications & experience required:
1. Cook: Minimum 2 years commercial cookery experience
2. Cook (Demi): 2-3 years commercial cookery experience + relevant supervisory experience
3. Chef (CDP): Minimum 1-2 years supervisory experience
4. Sous Chef: Minimum 2 years supervisory experience. Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or above is desirable.
The role:
* Sous/CDP Chef positions will assist the head Chef in all aspects of kitchen operations, including ordering, budgeting, cost control, stock take, rostering, and reporting.
* Provide supervision of the kitchen operations and staff.
* Assist head chef in menu design.
* Prepare and cook food to a benchmark standard for the restaurant.
* Ensure that meals are prepared, produced, presented, and served to the highest possible standards.
* Work in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations.
* Order stock under the direction of the Chef and check deliveries as per order sheets.
* In collaboration with the head Chef and other kitchen staff, contribute to the planning and development of recommendations for improved work procedures.
* Handle complaints and customer suggestions in a professional manner.
* Uphold and maintain correct standards of hygiene and safety.
* Undertake necessary training as required.
* Communicate effectively with the kitchen crew and other members of staff.
* Perform any additional duties associated with the kitchen or food production as directed by the Chef or management.
Annual Remuneration: (dependent on skills and experience)
* Sous Chef: $75,000 - $77,000
* CDP Chef: $73,000 - $75,000
* Cook (Demi): $72,000 - $74,000
* Cook: $65,000 - $70,000
