Our valued client SMW Group is a proud Central Queensland provider of field servicing, maintenance and emergency repair/ rebuild services with over 10 years' experience servicing the Central Queensland region.They are currently seeking highly experienced ESTIMATOR to join their team.The Estimator will diligently create/compile internal documents through the full life cycle of a tender from bid evaluation to bid submission.The Estimator is required to carry out their duties including (but not limited) to the following:Diligently prepare accurate confidential estimates and bid submissions for projects to grow the business in a positive trend whilst leveraging positive relationship with suppliers, subcontractors, internal stake holders and clients.Provide knowledge of cost and benefits that support pro table business decisions.Ensure compliance with financial targets in a consistent and integrated manner to align with SMW strategic direction.The Estimator role is critical to the ongoing success of the business.As such, all interactions with external stakeholders must be conducted in a positive way to ensure ongoing growth and success of the businessResponsibilities include:Seek out opportunities for business growthInitial bid/tender receivable and internal GO/NO GO analysis including risk analysisContract scrutiny for risks/opportunitiesDetermine key client/contract requirementsSubcontractors/supplier liaison including analysis and recommendationsDetailed take off qualitiesPrepare detailed cost estimates and project schedulesInternal stakeholder engagementBid/Submission documentationPost tender negotiation (with the input from Senior Management)Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities RequiredExcellent time management skillsExquisite numerical and IT ability with an analytical mindsetIntricate attention to detailOutstanding interpersonal, communication and presentation abilitiesEffectively lead both internal and external meetingsEffectively develop relationships with internal and external stake holdersBe courageous, not aggressive, or emotional in receiving feedback from team members, peers, and leadersAbility to pass a pre-employment medical assessmentAbility to meet critical key deadlinesThe right person for this role, must have the following qualifications and experienceMinimum 6 years in the Civil Construction industry or applicable industryPrevious experience in the Estimating industryHigh Level of proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, OutlookDriver's LicenceWhite Construction CardIf you possess the qualities and skills required for this role and you feel this job is for you, please apply now!Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per annum + SuperJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per yearWork Location: In person#J-18808-Ljbffr
