Mast Group Ltd. is looking to recruit a Production Operative to join the new manufacturing team based in Deeside. Mast Group Ltd. is a leading international manufacturer and supplier of medical diagnostics products for the diagnosis of infectious disease. Our products are used throughout the UK and worldwide. The job holder will be an integral part of the team, ensuring our processes and procedures are adhered to in all they do.
We require a production operative to work as part of the manufacturing team in the production and packing of in vitro diagnostic products.
THE ROLE
1. To work as part of the manufacturing team in the production and packing of in vitro diagnostic products.
2. To undertake tasks in any of the manufacturing areas as scheduled within the production planning process.
3. To produce high quality products to agreed standard operating procedures and costs.
4. To assist in the collection of data to ensure accurate costing of products is achieved. This is primarily the recording of all material used in the manufacture of products and ensuring that the labour time spent on each process is recorded within the Business Management System.
5. At the end of each job/process to correctly close down the process step(s) which must include (where appropriate) the completion of all costing and labour data.
6. If appropriate, to ensure that quality control laboratory sample products are fully labelled and taken to the appropriate area for storage or testing.
7. Working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday (days only).
As a member of the manufacturing team, the Production Operative will contribute to customer serviceability targets by working to “right first time” principles.
THE PERSON
* Previous production operative experience is desirable but not essential.
* Have a proactive approach to work.
* Experience of working in a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
* Ability to use a PC with MS packages.
* Good standard of English and Maths.
* Attention to detail is a must.
* Willingness to learn and work to improve business efficiency.
* Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
* Willingness to undertake training to improve skills.
In addition to the specified duties, the employee is expected to perform additional tasks when reasonably called upon to do so.
