We’re looking for someone to join the Environment team managing Mount Weld Pastoral Station, a cattle station owned and operated by Granny Smith Gold Mine. This is an opportunity to assist with the management of a one million acre, 500 cattle station in the Goldfields Region of Western Australia.
The Role:
* You will be responsible for looking after the cattle and maintaining the station. Your job will include:
* Taking care of the cattle and ensuring animal husbandry standards are met.
* Maintaining station infrastructure including fixing fences, watering points, and other equipment on the station.
* Organising musters with other workers.
* Feral animal control on the station.
* Operating farm machinery.
* Working on projects including land rehabilitation and making improvements on the station.
* Involved with station security and control of trespassers when required.
* Giving advice on how to improve the station’s operations.
Work Schedule:
* 8 days on, 6 days off.
* You’ll fly in and out from Perth or drive in from the Goldfields area.

What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working on cattle or sheep stations (cattle preferred), with the ability to manage workload unsupervised.
* Good communication skills with the ability to work as part of a team and independently.
* Ability to work flexibly and plan ahead.
* Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
* A valid manual driver’s license. Loader and forklift tickets favourable, but not essential.
