What will you be doing?
Drawing on your industry experience you will be;
1. Carrying out workplace inspections and taking enforcement actions when work health and safety laws are breached.
2. Investigating complex workplace incidents and/or accidents, which may include fatalities and serious injuries.
3. Gathering evidence in relation to matters of moderate complexity; developing industry or hazard based solutions, preparing briefs to legal, making recommendations about prosecutions and presenting evidence in court as required.
4. Promoting work health and safety laws by given presentations, providing information to workplaces and industry organisations.
You will have the opportunity to share and expand your skills and knowledge with other experienced team members for your professional development. You will also be able to represent the department on committees, working groups and forums and be able to put forward your perspective and knowledge on safer working practices in industry.

Together you will share knowledge, experiences through investigations and participate in team projects within different industries to ensure workplaces are aware of and implementing good safe practices.
