ARC Centre of Excellence for Quantum Biotechnology The School of Mathematics and Physics Full-time, fixed-term position for up to 3 years Base salary will be in the range of $78,944.40 - $87,750.37 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 5) Based at our St Lucia Campus location About This Opportunity We are seeking a dedicated Administration Officer to ensure the efficient operation of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Quantum Biotechnology ( QUBIC) by providing high-level administrative and operational support to UQ-based investigators and their research groups. In this role, you will collaborate with other Node Administrators, based at other institutions, to deliver seamless professional services that contribute to the Centre’s research objectives. A key aspect of this role is building and maintaining strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to facilitate research endeavours across the Centre. Key responsibilities will include: For the UQ Node: Be a key point of contact for the UQ Node, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders of the Centre. Manage administrative processes for QUBIC and specific activities for the UQ Node, ensuring high-quality administrative and operational support is being provided across the UQ node and that there is consistent support across all nodes. Coordinate event management for seminars, workshops, and meetings hosted by the UQ Node. Assist with travel arrangements and planning - lodging travel requests, reconciling travel statements, booking flights and accommodation. For the Centre overall: In consultation with the Chief Operating Officer, assist in the preparation of the Centre’s annual and other reports, coordinating contributions from other Nodes as required. Provide secretariat support for meetings of various Centre-wide committees, including organising meetings, preparing agendas and associated meeting papers, writing minutes/notes of meetings. Effective administration, coordination and communication skills. Demonstrated skills in providing a high level of customer service, including effective interpersonal skills. Demonstrated high level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Effective organisational, time management and problem-solving skills. Experience working as a team member in a busy environment. Working knowledge of University administrative systems, policies and procedures or the capacity to rapidly acquire this knowledge.
