We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our vibrant school community as the School Library Manager. In this role, you will oversee the library as the central hub of our school, planning, organising, and managing school and community events to the highest standard. You will maintain and enhance our library collection through cataloguing, stocktaking, and resource management while developing and delivering digital and information literacy sessions in collaboration with teaching staff. Ensuring compliance with copyright regulations and drafting relevant policies and procedures will also be key responsibilities. Providing exceptional customer service to staff, parents, students, and community members is essential, and you will maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions. You will assist with managing electronic systems, including the School Administration System (SAS) for student reporting and assessment, while ensuring our electronic noticeboards are updated with timely information for students and the community. A clean and safe work environment is a priority, and you will adhere to health and safety regulations while conducting risk assessments as needed. Additionally, you will supervise the Library Assistant, managing their workload and professional development, and oversee educational subscriptions to support classroom teachers with quality resources. You will also provide backup support to the staffing officer as required.
