Job Description
KU Ourimbah Preschool and Children’s Centre is an established service with beautiful natural forest surroundings and cultivated grounds on the University of Newcastle Central Coast Campus. The service has ample free parking onsite and buses that run from Ourimbah station to the campus.
The service is open all year round between 7:00am-6:00pm, Monday-Friday. To ensure that all team members have work life balance, rosters rotate on a regular basis, Diploma Educator’s rosters will change weekly and Certificate III Educator’s rosters change every three weeks.
This purpose-built service offers up to 59 places to children between the ages of 6 weeks and 5 years old providing a quality play-based learning program. Given Ourimbah’s surrounds, they offer an established Forest Preschool and have daily excursions around the campus.
Wherever possible the service has sustainability at the forefront of mind, there is wonderful natural light through the service, they try to avoid the use of artificial lighting and use lots of wooden and natural materials.
The Role
The team have the perfect opportunity for a Certificate III qualified educator that is looking to work a few hours per day in the afternoon. Perhaps you are studying and want to have a good balance between work and study, or maybe you already have a job in the mornings.
On a permanent basis, you would work 2:30pm-5:30pm (3 hours per day) Monday-Friday. You would have the opportunity to pick up additional hours within the service as they are available.

You will need:
* Australian working rights
* A current NSW Working with Children Check
* An ACECQA recognised Certificate III
* Completed training in Child Protection
* Sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011)
* Working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF)
