Reporting to the Executive General Manager (EGM) of the Coates West Business Unit, this is an autonomous role that will enable the successful candidate to make their mark within Coates.
Coates Engineering Solutions offers a comprehensive end-to-end temporary works value proposition that includes design, certification, installation, project management, and monitoring. Our customers can turn to us for their entire temporary works solutions on their projects.
The Regional Manager – Engineering Solutions is the key role to drive strong revenue growth for temporary works solutions and services by working closely with all members of the sales team to maximise opportunities through our customer base. This role is a pivotal member of the West Business Unit, maximising financial utilisation, services revenue and EBIT through the development and implementation of effective strategic sales plans, ensuring that risk management is front of mind.
You’ll enjoy variety in your role including:
1. Leading with strong safety values, drive leading safety behaviours and participation rates to encourage risk awareness of the teams.
2. Execution of Temporary Work Proposals and managing end to end solutions.
3. Operational management of specialist branch with full responsibility for P&L
4. In-conjunction with Category Managers, review product portfolio performance, develop and implement effective strategic plans aimed at maximising revenue and services add on revenue
5. Develop plans with the broader sales teams to drive product and services add on revenue opportunities through existing customer base
6. Monitor market trends, emerging opportunities to enhance and further grow services offering
7. In-conjunction with the Transport Manager, manage the logistical operations of the branch to ensure safe and efficient transport.
8. Develop programs to ensure that employees have the skills, knowledge, business tools and ability to effectively prospect for product growth opportunities and engineered solutions
9. Provide strong leadership to the team to drive maximum engagement and sales performance

What you’ll bring to the role:
We are seeking a candidate with a proven ability to develop and lead a team with strong safety values, driving accountabilities for operational strategies and the ability to build a strong engagement culture with all staff and customers alike.
A commitment to customer service through proactive communication, transport efficiencies, fleet allocation and a collaborative branch network will ensure the regions ability to grow. Developing a close relationship with the sales, service and transport teams is critical to this role.
