Our federal government client is seeking an experienced Cost Modeler to join their digital transformation program.
As a Cost Modeler, you will be required to:
* Provide assistance in developing budget cost plans and forecast for the business case to support the program.
* Develop project cost plans and forecasts.
* Monitor and manage expenditure and examine areas where budgets and expenditure exceed agreed tolerances.
* Provide effective financial control for optimal decision making.
* Analyse expenditure (actual & forecast), examine variances and advises on options in the use of available budget
* Provide expenditure reports & briefs for OCIO leadership as required.
The successful candidate must have:
* 3-4 years’ experience working in a similar role.
* Demonstrate experience in working in a federal government procurement team.
* Demonstrate strong budget skills and attention to detail.
* Demonstrate experience in hands-on procurement activities.
* Knowledge of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPR) and PGPA Act
* Demonstrate competency in Microsoft applications, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
