Our ideal candidate
The ABF is currently looking for committed and reliable people to undertake full-time work on an ongoing basis at the APS Level 2 classification. You will receive appropriate training in order to undertake requisite functions, such as passenger clearances.
Duties and responsibilities
In the ABF we are looking for Assistant Border Force Officers who:
1. Are team players

4. Represent the ABF in frontline operational areas, dealing directly with members of the public including foreign travellers
5. Perform duties in a fast-paced, high volume operating environment

8. Exercise lawful authority efficiently and appropriately
9. Are flexible and adaptable.
Additional information
The following requirements apply to the position:
10. Wear the ABF uniform
11. Attain and maintain mandatory training requirements
12. Attain and maintain relevant security requirements
13. Training is currently up to four (4) weeks in duration, depending on the role into which you are placed.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance and an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
