Job Description for Network Technical Team Lead in Adelaide
The candidate will manage the Network Team including providing team members with career development
guidance, assignment and prioritization of workload, performance reviews, personal and professional
development coaching and all other aspect of personnel management.
Responsible for periodically organizing and driving the evaluation of the architecture and the plan for future
enhancements of the network environment.
Responsible for taking a lead role in for technical issues and drive them to closure by providing technical guidance
or taking ownership.
Creates best practice technical architecture models utilizing knowledge of industry and technical trends.
Perform a wide range of administration duties on network devices including install debug, maintain, upgrade and
general support.
Document all diagrams, policies and procedures for newly deployed systems and review on yearly basis.
Active participation in life cycle management ensuring that all owned infrastructure is kept secure using approved
software updates. Assist with testing of all proposed software updates.
Proactively monitor the network and related services using a combination of tools to ensure high performance
and SLA’s targets are achieved.
Assist in developing, implementing, testing and maintaining disaster recovery plans.
Collect and review system data for capacity planning purposes.
Interface with vendors for procurement & maintenance.
Maintain and up-to-date knowledge of emerging network tools and technologies.
Coordinate with the rest of the Network Systems Team to meet the team objectives.
Ability to manage multi-tasking and prioritize the tasks/incidents in an efficient manner to meet goals set.
Act as a technical escalation point to assist with resolving incidents and tasks as required.
Participate in an On-Call rotation and be available for out of office hours support when needed.
Perform other duties as required by the Service Delivery Manager to meet requirements.
