Job Title: Clinical Nurse Specialist
About the Position:
We are seeking experienced Clinical Nurse Specialists to join our team in various locations within the WA Country Regions. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work with Paediatricians, allied health professionals, families, and stakeholders to support clinical care across outpatient and community settings for children with neurodevelopmental needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Act as a role model and consultant to nurses and other health service providers, providing knowledge, clinical expertise, and best practice nursing for children with neurodevelopmental needs and their families.
* Collaborate with Paediatricians and allied health professionals to develop and implement individualised care plans for children with complex needs.
* Provide education and training to healthcare professionals on best practice nursing for children with neurodevelopmental needs.
* Maintain accurate records and reports, including assessment and treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
Requirements:
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency is an essential requirement for applicants to be considered for permanent positions in the public sector.
* Eligibility to register in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
* Demonstrated significant clinical knowledge, experience, and leadership in paediatric or child health nursing.
* Advanced interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work in cross-cultural settings.
* Well-developed computing, conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills, inclusive of application of best practice and research.
