About this role You'll be joining the largest public health system in Australia and contribute to a world-class health system in NSW. The Senior Analyst is responsible for the provision of high quality, timely and insightful analytics and reporting capability to enable the Ministry of Health to be an effective system manager. Provide analytical, modelling and forecasting functions to support Net Zero Carbon objectives, Activity Based Funding and Future Health Strategies, ensuring accuracy of information and quality documentation, interpretive analysis and presentation. Ensure provision of ad hoc reports and information to the Ministry and other health system stakeholders. Coordinate and undertake research and analysis of best practice on processes and activities to ensure targets promote efficiency, business outcomes and systemic and emerging risks are managed. What you'll be doing Provision of data and analytical support for local (LHD) analysis to improve reporting. Proactively identify, research and present opportunities for improvement in activity data collection, quality and reporting. Design and development of databases, reports and dashboards using enterprise tools. Implement processes to identify, analyse and facilitate improvements to analysis, processes and workflows aligned with overall Purchasing requirements and the Ministry’s strategic plans. Assist to achieve a highly skilled, flexible team and effective work environment and manage resources effectively to deliver business priorities and commitments within agreed time frames, quality standards and budget. About you We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with: Tertiary qualification and/or work experience in an appropriate discipline. Well developed and contemporary knowledge and skills in advanced analytics and activity modelling and forecasting in health. Understanding of statistical and analytical concepts and their application to health service purchasing and benchmarking. Experience in complex data analysis and reporting environments, programs or projects. Well developed conceptual and analytical thinking skills and the capacity to develop solutions for a range of complex analytical and reporting issues.
