About the Role
The Coordinator is the Leader of Learning of Health and Physical Education (HPE) and supervises the Years 7 to 12 curriculum. Responsibilities include leading the HPE faculty staff and students, facilitating sporting opportunities, and ensuring compliance with curriculum requirements. The Coordinator holds delegated responsibility for the leadership, development, and administration excellence of HPE Curriculum and sporting events.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the development of a dynamic curriculum in line with national and state requirements.
* Support the implementation of the College's Annual and Strategic Plans in collaboration with the Leadership of the College.
* Communicate with Faculty staff about all College initiatives and directions.
* Oversee and support co-curricular sporting opportunities.
* Work with staff to ensure parents are engaged in their child’s education.
Qualifications
* Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching.
* Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP).
* Teaching Quality Institute (TQI) accreditation.
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Desirable).
* Certificate III in Fitness (Desirable).
Selection Criteria
* A comprehensive understanding of Catalyst initiatives and High Impact Teaching Practices.
* A thorough knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and ACT BSSS courses.
* Demonstrated capability to coordinate a teaching team effectively.
* Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills.
* The ability to exercise sound judgment, including dealing with confidential matters.

* You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible to apply for this position.
