Your Role: As the 2IC Service Manager, you will: Support and mentor a team of educators, fostering a culture of professional reflection and continuous improvement.? Assist in managing daily operations, from staffing to parent communications.? Ensure high-quality care and compliance with industry standards to support children's holistic development and lifelong learning.? Build strong relationships with families to support each child's growth.? Collaborate with the Service Manager to create quality relationships with children, parents, and staff, aiming for the highest standards of success.? What You Bring: Qualifications: Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent qualification as recognized by ACECQA.? Certifications: Current and valid Working With Children Check and First Aid Certificate, including training in asthma and anaphylaxis.? Skills: Understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the National Quality Standard (NQS) to assist in ensuring quality practices and outcomes.? Attributes: Ability to support, mentor, and lead a team of educators in the absence of the Service Manager.? Capability to assist in managing daily operations, from staffing to parent communications.? Strong verbal and written skills for effective interactions with families, staff, and regulatory bodies.? Ability to effectively address and resolve issues that may arise within the service.? Desirable Skills and Knowledge: Previous experience in a Service 2IC, Assistant Director, Assistant Service Manager, or similar role within an early childhood setting.? Demonstrated skills in working collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and support staff.? Proficiency in using relevant management software and tools for communication, documentation, and reporting.? A commitment to engage in ongoing training and development.? Skills to address and mediate challenges or disputes that might arise among staff or with families.? Ready to Make a Difference?
