Our client is looking for qualified and experienced pastry chefs/cooks to work at their large estate. The company sets innovative menus bringing out the best of the local produce with their in-house dining room.
Required:
1. AQF Diploma OR at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications for chef position.
2. AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training or AQF Certificate IV.
3. OR at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications.
4. Preparation, creation, decoration, and delivery of cakes, patisserie, and pastry products.
5. Plan, develop, and estimate food costs when ordering food supplies.
6. Monitor quality of dishes.
7. Prepare and cook food demonstrating a variety of cooking techniques.
8. Experience working with pastries and other dessert cooking.
9. Keep kitchen and enforce hygiene regulations.
10. Enthusiasm and creative approach to providing high-quality cuisine.
11. Demonstrated understanding of Australian food safety and HACCP.
12. Monitor and produce quality dishes in all stages of preparation and organisation.
