About the Role Our newly created Field Services Manager opportunity is pivotal to the success of our PipeTech expansion strategy, as we drive significant growth across Australia and New Zealand, this role will lead and develop the entire field workforce. Reporting directly to the Program Director, The Field Services Manager will develop and lead a world class Field Services division within Downer PipeTech, providing the highest level of service to our project leads and customers across all PipeTech operational areas. Field Services are the people, plant and equipment which do the work in the field, enabling our projects to deliver outstanding solutions to our customers. The ideal candidate will envision themselves attending to duties such as: Providing overall leadership of a highly skilled, productive field workforce that deliver outstanding services to the projects on which they work Ensure the Field Services team have the appropriate plant, equipment & vehicles to deliver an outstanding service Develop business cases for any equipment required as we grow our service offerings and regions in which we operate Responsible for the financial management of the whole field services business unit, to ensure that this pool of people, plant, equipment and vehicles meets budget target Working with Industrial Relations, People & Culture and unions to negotiate and navigate EBA’s to deliver the resourcing strategies as required Building relationships with your senior leadership peers, clients, suppliers and the broader relining and rehabilitation industry to drive innovation and solutions for the communities we serve About You 10 years of field-based experience complimented by a thought leadership approach to everything you do. Perhaps you’re a high performing Senior Supervisor or Superintendent looking for their next challenge or have run significant Operations for a field-based workforce Skilled with commercial acumen with exposure to financial performance, developing and delivering budgets for people, plant and equipment Knowledge of industrial relations/ unions - Skilfully navigating industrial relations and various enterprise agreement considerations across various states in Australia and New Zealand Proven track record in developing and implementing training programmes for field workforces, including compliance training, professional development, apprenticeship programmes and supplier specific training Ability to travel and attend sites across Australia and potentially New Zealand as and when required What We Offer A high level of autonomy and influence on the future of PipeTech’s field-based teams and future opportunities.
