The Quality Inspector reports to the Quality Manager or designate performing primarily office and non-manual quality functions designed to service Production through consultation and oversight.

Summary:Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Quality Specialist (CMM Operator) conducts CMM operation, programming, and part verification in compliance with applicable Quality Management System procedures, and maintenance of gage procurement and calibration system.
Primary Duties:Responsible for maintaining Gage Calibration and maintenance programCMM Operation and part verification to support NASG's quality system as necessaryPerform annual validations / PPAP as requiredPerform routine inspections, dimensional studies, and investigations, as necessaryProvide support in the absence of the quality engineerServe as Champion in corrective action process as assignedParticipate, support, and lead in data collection for problem solving teamsCMM Programming using PC DMISQualifications:High School Diploma3 years manufacturing experience3-5 years PC DMIS programming experience2 years CMM OperationExperience with PPAP creator and/or Step Ahead an assetUnderstanding of Control Plans, FMEA's, Flow Diagrams, and In-Process InspectionKnowledge of GD&T, SPC, Gage R&R, and gage useAbility to work both days and afternoons on a rotation (schedule can be discussed)CMM Program maintenance after programs and set up are establishedOrganizational skills to maintain CMM programs and gage calibration in compliance with Quality department and QMS procedures and requirementsUnderstanding of problem solving and root cause analysisDetail oriented and able to work with minimal supervisionAble to solve problems utilizing TQPS methodologyAbility to speak and write in English and act as a liaison between production and qualityNorth American Stamping Group is a drug-free and smoke-free workplace.
