Come and be part of established team of specialists within our Group Operational Risk Department who assist the Bank and its Board to make informed risk / reward decisions. As Head of Technology & Data Risk, you’ll be a leader in the second line of defence driving governance, oversight and continuous improvement of the technology risk management practices of the business and first line risk teams.
You’ll be responsible for developing the and driving implementation of the Technology & Data risk strategy providing advice, oversight, education and training as relevant to the holistic management of technology & data risks, including contributions to risk appetite statements, framework, policy and other risk management activities.
As a leader you’ll drive our strategy, culture and performance and set the tone for our people through modelling our values and behaviours.
Position description:
This is a permanent full-time position. We offer flexible work options that put our people first, and a hybrid model of minimum two days per week based out of our Corporate offices.
What you’ll bring to the role
To succeed in this role, we’d love you to have:
1. 5+ years in a senior risk management or audit role with a technology or data focus
2. 5+ years leadership/management experience
3. Ability to work under broad direction, deal with competing demands, manage multiple initiatives and effectively manage expectations of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment.
4. Relevant tertiary or professional qualifications, supported by practical experience in this or a field related to this position
5. Practical understanding of technology, trends and threats related to technology risk management
6. Proven experience in interpreting and implementing regulatory requirements, such as CPS 234, BCBS239 and/or CPG 235
7. Influencing and negotiating methods and techniques at all organisational levels
8. Technical understanding and established experience with cloud governance
