CLS is seeking Casual Lifestyle Support Workers to work in Bundaberg, primarily within our Complex Behaviour Support teams. Complex Behaviour Support Work in an environment where you provide high-quality support to participants living with complex needs including mental health, behaviour support and communication challenges. You will be required to work within a framework of positive behaviour support and to implement restrictive practices safely and ethically. Operational needs may require successful applicants to work across other areas of the service. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with CLS specialists and allied health professionals to better understand the person’s individual needs and improve their quality of life. As a Lifestyle Support Worker, you will: Have a willingness to work shift work (e.g. morning, afternoon, night) and split shifts throughout the day. Weekend and sleepover shift availability highly important. Help our clients with personal care needs (i.e., feeding, showering, dressing). Help our clients to learn new skills and socialise in their local community. Assist with medication administration. Assist in the preparation of nutritious meals. Require self-confidence, as well as the ability to assess and manage risks. Have strong verbal and written communication skills. Have a genuine interest in developing relationships with clients who have complex needs. Maintain a non-judgmental approach. To be considered you will have (or the ability to acquire): Hold Certificate III (or higher) in Individual Support (Disability/Aged Care/Home and Community Care) or demonstrated 2 years relevant industry experience.
