About the role: We are seeking a Production Supervisor for our Pack House Operations (Green Beans and Sweet Corn) at both:
Mulgowie facility in the Laidley Valley (full-time perm)Bowen facility in North Queensland (full-time fixed term to December 2025)This role will require you to oversee the production team across morning and afternoon rostered shifts.
A strong emphasis on production with particular focus and attention to detail on People Safety and Quality Assurance are paramount.
Your key responsibilities will include: Supervision of rostered Packhouse teamEnsuring the safety and support of all members in your team to deliver quality and efficient outcomesLeading by example, demonstrating quality standards to your teamLead and develop the Packhouse team to improve operational efficienciesDelivering regular communications to your teamSupporting your coordinator to build a culture of best practice and innovationEnsuring your team have appropriate equipment for all conditionsUtilise approved pack house best management practicesEnsuring compliance with all food safety standards including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)To be successful in the position you will have: Experience: A minimum of two years of experience working in a fast-paced food manufacturing/production, packing, or supply chain environmentDemonstrated communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead in a team environment where English may not be the primary languageDemonstrated leadership and people management skillsSound knowledge of Safety and Environmental StandardsSound knowledge of quality systems (e.g.
HACCP, GMP)Good working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g.
SAP)Agricultural crop conversion and scheduling experience will be highly regardedLed a diverse team in a fresh food environmentQA/QC experience in manufacturingSkills, knowledge, and abilities: A willingness to learn, be flexible and able to adapt in a multi-skilled environmentConfident, hardworking team player with good organisation, technical, and leadership skillsAbility to handle multiple prioritiesHigh levels of initiative and the ability to apply discretion and judgment to problem solveProcess driven with a commitment for continuous improvementIntermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookSound knowledge of WH&S in the workplace.Can work independently but also well within a teamBe physically fitHave strong attention to detail and be safety focusedGood communication skillsReliability, ongoing commitment and a willingness to go the extra mileForklift license would be highly regardedLEAN manufacturing knowledge would be highly regarded.Why Join Us?
