Rate of compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.The Position:The Aquatics Manager position with British Swim School is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the aquatics program and customer service interactions. Priorities include ensuring the British Swim School program is delivered according to brand and safety standards, instructor team management, initial and ongoing training, customer conversations, as well as teaching lessons when and if necessary. This position will also require due diligence with tracking required certifications for instructors as well as continuing the employee's development and competency and skills.Your Typical Responsibilities:Reports to and communicates directly with the Aquatics Director or the Franchise OwnerWork a flexible schedule that may include holidays and weekends as required by business needs and as requested by managementBe correctly dressed in British Swim School uniform and prepared pool-side at least 15 minutes before the start of your first lessonEngagement with children/swimmers while smiling, singing, and having fun while teaching lessonsDisciplined to follow schedules and enforce safety procedures as well as follow policies, teaching techniques, and procedures of British Swim SchoolUsing your training to teach these techniques to all new swim instructors that join our program with an emphasis on survival skillsObserving classes and performing coaching reports to ensure proper safety protocols and swim techniques are being followed to British Swim School brand standardsAttending staff meetings and ongoing training/coaching as requested by the Aquatics Director or the Franchise OwnerConducting monthly in-service meetings and ongoing training for the instructor teamInforming the Deck Ambassador of any needs or maintenance issues that need addressingSpeaking to parents/customers about their children’s progressOther responsibilities as assigned by the Aquatics Director or the Franchise OwnerThis position would start as a part-time position with an emphasis on teaching swim classes. As the business grows, there’s potential opportunity to transition to full-time.Minimum Qualifications:High School diploma or equivalentExcellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills1-3 years of management experiencePreferred Qualifications:1+ years of customer service and/or management experienceExperience in swimming and fitness teaching/management is preferred.
