General Manager Operations | Travel IndustryRare opportunity for a dynamic, results-driven General Manager to join this leading global travel brand to lead their sales operations in the APAC region.Reporting to the US based COO and as the voice of the group locally, this pivotal role will enhance booking flows, drive sales initiatives and ensure exceptional customer and operational support. It will work collaboratively with global departments in a matrix reporting structure.A strong operations background in the travel industry is essential, and this opportunity would suit an existing GM or an Ops Manager/Director looking to step up.Key Responsibilities:Operational Leadership:Oversee daily operations across the APAC region.Identify and implement operational improvements in booking processes and customer support.Establish and monitor KPIs to assess operational efficiency.Recommend changes to policies and establish procedures that positively impact the immediate department and possibly company-wide initiatives.Sales Growth & Support:Ensure corporate strategic sales plans & support are in place to enhance market share and revenue growth.Collaborate with the business development & marketing teams to ensure campaigns are executed with local markets.Analyse data, identify trends, and make strategic decisions to optimise team and departmental performance.Customer Experience:Ensure a seamless customer journey from booking to travel experience.Address customer feedback and implement solutions to enhance satisfaction.Collaboration with Global Teams:Work closely with global departments, including marketing, product development, and operations.Share best practices and insights from the region to contribute to global strategies.Participate in regular meetings to align regional goals with global objectives.Serve as a subject matter expert and strategic partner, providing insights and recommendations to inform organisational decisions.Leadership and Team Management:Direct supervision and performance management of junior to senior level individual contributors, team leads, supervisors, or individual contributors.Set goals, monitor progress, and evaluate the work of managers and their teams.Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to foster the growth and succession of talent.Address complex performance issues, make hiring and termination decisions, and handle sensitive employee relations matters.To apply for this role you must have experience in a senior management role in the travel and tourism industry driving sales growth and improving operational efficiency along with a strong understanding of booking systems and CRM, experience working within a global matrix reporting structure and the flexibility to travel to the USA 2-3 times a year.
