The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following competencies as they relate to the key responsibilities of the role:VisionPrioritise projects and tasks efficiently, in line with team commitments.Actively participate in the design of new solutions and new ways of working.Demonstrate flexibility to changing expectations by proactively adapting own approach to reflect new requirements.ResultsActively participate in team development opportunities, such as lessons learned conversations.Communicate in a clear, succinct and deliberate manner, adjusting the message so that it resonates with different stakeholders.Contribute to the development of team objectives and recognise own role in achieving results.AccountabilityDemonstrate personal responsibility for the health, safety and wellbeing of self and others.Actively seek feedback and modify your approach to enhance own effectiveness.Uphold integrity through responsible management and use of processes and resources.What you will do:The Marketing and Media Officer will:Be a brand guardian who understands and builds the equity of a contemporary Queensland Museum brand across marketing and media opportunities.Prepare innovative marketing plans for approval and implement these plans within budget and deadlines, to meet key objectives and audience targets.As part of approved marketing plans, deliver a range of activities including liaison with appointed media buying agency, digital, social media, press advertising, television advertising, print and its distribution, media and public relations.Write interesting and engaging copy for a suite of marketing and communication collateral including social media, brochures, websites, eDMs, signage, publications and liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure streamlined and prompt delivery.Research, prepare recommendations and implement digital and online strategies, including electronic media, ENews and social media, to increase museum visitation, ticket sales, Annual Pass and ENews subscriptions.Deliver and support media activities, mainstream and specialist, through the provision of media kits, story ideas, contribute to the preparation of media releases, images and organising interviews within Queensland Museum protocols.Coordinate, and provide for, support onsite and online market research including evaluating the success of events, exhibitions and marketing programs including regular reporting.Support Queensland Museum Tropics presence within the tourism industry and external stakeholders at all levels including liaison with Visitor Information Centers, participation at offsite expos/events and communication with tourism representatives, wholesale companies, tour providers.#J-18808-Ljbffr
