Bluefin Resources is assisting a public corporation and a Treasury portfolio agency to source an EL1 Reinsurance Applications Manager. The purpose of this role is to implement and embed the established strategic roadmap for the agency's core Reinsurance Applications (including PACE (Cyclone Pool) and RISe (Terrorism Pool)), and to lead the day-to-day management of these applications in accordance with established service level agreements.
This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering remuneration between A$131,272 to A$150,586 + 15.4% superannuation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for implementing and embedding the established future roadmap of agency's core reinsurance applications - PACE (SaaS) and RISe (Microsoft Azure hosted).
2. Build relationships and partner with stakeholders to have a complete understanding of the business processes and the technology that supports the business requirements both for current solutions and defining future vision.
3. Lead regular meetings with SaaS vendor to plan, scope, prioritize so that solution design and implementations stay on track and in accordance with business expectations.
4. Ensure the core reinsurance applications perform optimally in accordance with established service level agreements.
5. Maintain customer (business stakeholders and external insurer customers) satisfaction levels.
6. Oversee the operation of the SaaS platform and its multitude of integrations, including but not limited to the stability, availability, growth, and innovation, with opportunities and risks being raised with the Head of IT for discussion and endorsement.
7. Technical ownership of the core reinsurance applications, acting as the point of contact and ongoing subject matter expert for the business stakeholders.
8. Responsible for application performance enhancements & supporting process improvement initiatives, with opportunities and risks being raised with the Head of IT for discussion and endorsement.
9. Maintain business support documentation.
10. Support impact assessments, process mapping, procedure documentation and improvements related to the core reinsurance applications.
11. Support customers to uplift their knowledge and understanding of the core reinsurance applications.
12. Participate in Corporate projects as and when opportunities arise.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
13. Experience in enterprise application support or technical business analyst gained in a well governed environment.
14. Experience with Change Management, Release Management and Problem Management.
15. Working knowledge of SaaS platforms and Microsoft Azure cloud technologies.
16. Knowledge of insurance, reinsurance banking or financial.
17. Familiarity with IT service delivery frameworks such as ITIL to manage operational support outcomes.
18. Ability to draw on experience and technical knowledge to manage own work within agreed parameters (i.e., results, deadlines, and budget).
19. Strong customer service focus.
20. Ability to build strong relationships with various stakeholders.
