Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Kitchen Hand to join our team on a casual, part-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of large high-volume kitchen environments and be able to demonstrate a broad working knowledge of this environment within the resources sector.
Key Responsibilities
* To assist chefs in the preparation and presentation of meals in a commercial kitchen setting.
* To maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.
* To work effectively as part of a team to ensure seamless service delivery.
Requirements
* A minimum of 1 year's basic food preparation knowledge.
* Experience working in a restaurant or similar environment.
* Able to work flexibly, including weekends and public holidays if required.
* Demonstrate good knowledge of equipment used in a commercial kitchen.
* Knowledge of cookware, utensils, and bake ware for chefs.
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous experience as a Kitchen Hand.
* Able to demonstrate commitment to workplace safety.
* Quick and capable learner with a strong work ethic.
Working Conditions
The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment with exposure to hot surfaces, sharp objects, and cleaning chemicals. They must be physically fit and able to stand for long periods of time.
