The Academic Support Unit at UniSC Sunshine Coast Campus seeks a Part-time (80%) Technical Laboratory Assistant to support undergraduate laboratory-based teaching activities.
This role requires liaising with academic staff to determine practical teaching requirements and preparing materials and teaching laboratories. The successful candidate will provide technical support and expertise to a range of undergraduate laboratory-based teaching programs, including Medical Laboratory Science (Pathology), to ensure students' successful completion of all learning objectives and outcomes.
The Technical Laboratory Assistant will contribute to method development and problem solving of standard procedures, assist in the development and implementation of new techniques within the teaching laboratories, and contribute to safe working practices, including compliance with risk and waste management systems.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing technical support and expertise to undergraduate laboratory-based teaching programs;
* Contributing to method development and problem solving of standard procedures;

About you
We are looking for someone with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. You will possess a relevant degree or a combination of relevant experience and education/training, previous work experience in providing technical support, and a current Class 'C' Drivers Licence.
