About the role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a junior Lawyer to join our Commercial Litigation team in Melbourne on a permanent, full-time basis. Working directly with a distinguished Special Counsel who has a passion for training and mentorship, this hands-on role will see you working alongside other lawyers in the team on a variety of front-end commercial and litigated matters, with a particular focus on competition and consumer law, privacy and data, technology, intellectual property and cyber-security. Working for a range of high net worth individuals and leading Australian businesses, this is a truly mixed role, with approximately one quarter of your workload being commercial, and three quarters litigation.
About you
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years' PAE, with a genuine passion and interest in the areas of commercial, consumer, and privacy law. Your previous experience will include some exposure to advocacy work and you will have a keen desire to continue developing this skill. Our clients are at the heart of all that we do, so we are looking for a candidate who demonstrates a strong client service focus and a commercial approach to all dealings.

Excellent verbal and written communication, including well-developed Plain English writing skills. Meticulous attention to detail. Self-confidence, initiative and a commitment to ongoing learning and development in this area of practice. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a small team.
