Field Service Technician Job no: 510966 Work type: Full Time Location: Auckland About the roleBased in Auckland, you will be reporting into the Technical Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of Visy Technology Systems labelling and printing equipment through servicing the machines in a timely and professional manner.The role requires the individual to identify the most suited approach in resolving customer issues, generating service quotations and carrying out repairs.Duties Conducting installations, field service and routine maintenance checks and inspections on Visy Technology Systems labelling and coding equipment.Performing preventive maintenance to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.Troubleshooting and diagnosing technical problems, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.Ensuring all parts (to machine specifications) are ordered and are in stock locally to machine specification prior to service commencing.Make efficiency and maintenance modification recommendations pre- and post-installation (or as required) to continually improve on reliability and performance of Visy Technology Systems equipment.Documenting all maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections.Maintaining accurate records of service visits, parts used, and time spent on each assignment.Providing on-site training to clients on proper equipment usage, maintenance procedure and safety.Adhering to safety protocols and ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.Fully maintained tool of trade company vehicle included with extensive training.What you will bring to the team: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or trade certificate preferred.Minimum of 5+ years' (post trade) experience in the Manufacturing or similar Industry.Proven experience as a Field Service Technician, with a focus on maintenance.Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.Excellent problem-solving skills & highly demonstrated verbal reasoningFamiliarity with Visy's Technology Systems and/or related packaging systems technologies.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Drive, tenacity, innovation (creative) and "can do" attitudeAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Thrives in a diverse, dynamic and fast paced work environmentComputer literacy includes MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint (other applications desirable)Able to delegate and influenceWillingness to travel to client sites as needed.Valid driver's license and clean driving record.Able to work flexible hours to meet requirements.
