Position: Pro Shop Assistant at Mount Osmond Golf Club

We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused individual to join our Professional Shop Team, contributing to the smooth day-to-day operations of the golf shop and wider golf services.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver exceptional customer service and build strong relationships with members and guests.
* Manage daily golf shop operations, including cash handling, POS transactions, stock management, store presentation, and merchandising.
* Provide expert knowledge of golf equipment, assisting customers in making informed purchasing decisions.
* Support golf operations, including starter, marshal, driving range, golf carts, and bag storage.
* Assist with the coordination of golf events, tournaments, and group bookings, including on-the-day event management.
* Ensure enforcement of club rules and policies, maintaining a professional environment.
* Contribute to the development and cross-training of golf operations staff.
* Assist in rostering, stock ordering, and liaising with suppliers.
* Help implement marketing and sales plans to drive golf shop and operational success.
About You
* Experience in the golf industry is essential, with strong knowledge of golf and golf equipment.
* Retail experience, including cash handling and POS systems.
* Strong computer skills and ability to manage bookings and stock systems.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine love for working with people.
* Self-motivated, proactive, with a strong work ethic and a ‘can do’ attitude.
* Ability to work as part of a collaborative team while also taking initiative independently.
* Highly organised, with strong time management skills.
* Ability to maintain high standards in store presentation and customer service.
* Flexibility to work weekends and a variety of shifts as required.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
* Experience coordinating or assisting with golf events and competitions.
* Knowledge of stock management processes and supplier liaison.
* Familiarity with club membership systems and golf-specific booking software (desirable but not essential).
