Primary Purpose of the Position:
The Spatial Information Analyst will ensure the accurate sourcing, management, and accessibility of spatial data for stakeholders. This role involves supporting users across the organisation, offering expert advice, and producing high-quality spatial data outputs to assist in corporate decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide support and expert advice to spatial data and system users across the organisation
* Produce accurate maps and comprehensive reports, ensuring alignment with corporate standards
* Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate spatial data, enhancing decision-making across departments
* Stay up-to-date with emerging spatial data trends, technology best practices, and legislative requirements
* Provide input into road naming and property numbering processes
* Design and implement spatial information solutions based on customer and governance requirements
* Lead enhancements in information and spatial architecture, workspace development, and information tools
* Build and maintain relationships with NSW Government agencies, local councils, property developers, and other stakeholders
* Develop and maintain processes, procedures, and documentation for Spatial and Land Information systems
About the Ideal Candidate:
* Proven experience in spatial data management and high-quality output production
* Strong skills in data analysis, mapping, and report generation
* Proficiency in current spatial technology trends and legislative requirements
* Excellent collaboration and communication skills, particularly with stakeholders at all levels
* Experience in government or local councils is advantageous
