This is a significant project for both the Australian Government and Roy Morgan, and this is your chance to be part of the action. The International Tourism Statistics (ITS) survey captures travel by international visitors across Australia. We'll capture survey data by asking respondents a series of questions about their trip to Australia. This data feeds into the Australian National Accounts and contributes to the estimates of the national economy and helps drive the future of Australia's tourism industry. As a Field Research Officer, you will undertake professional and accurate data collection of the public with neutrality by asking questions and gathering respondent responses. Of course, there is some administration as well to ensure all the records are accurate and up to date. For this project, you will be based at Australian International Airports (either of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Darwin, Cairns, Gold Coast). You need to be comfortable engaging with people – both in helping them understand the importance and benefits of participating in the survey and asking scripted survey questions. You will engage with people from all walks of life and be able to enjoy the flexibility of working independently and managing your own workload. We are looking for people who are committed to at least 20 hours per week including weekdays and weekends following a set roster of shifts. Full time work for professional field research officers is also available. To be a successful Field Research Officer you will: Enjoy engaging with, and able to relate to, people from diverse and different backgrounds and experiences Have market research interviewing experience or equivalent interviewing/people engagement experience. Be professional, have a high level of integrity and possess mature social skills. Be available to work a minimum of 20 hours per week including weekdays and weekends. Hold a National Police Check (or willingness to obtain). Have fluent English language proficiency (spoken and written English) Have a legal right to work in Australia.
