What You'll Do
Design telecommunications solutions for mission critical services in the power utility sector Document network details in databases, reports and engineering drawings Conduct site surveys to gather information for your designs Liaise with Project Managers and engineers from other disciplines to ensure project requirements are met Configure devices and conduct bench testing/FAT
We're Looking For
Candidates with technical design experience or knowledge in at least two of the following areas:
* Networks
* Industrial IP and Ethernet networks Software Defined Networking (SDN/SD-WAN) Network Management Systems (NMS) Layer 2, Layer 3 and Firewalls (CCNA/CCNP preferred) Buried fibre optic cabling (direct buried and in pit & pipe) OPGW & ADSS Radio Microwave radio and UHF/VHF systems Proficient in path profiling and RF simulation software e.g. Pathloss, Atoll, HTZ Other telecommunications experience Structured cabling systems (Cat6) Telephony (analogue and VoIP) Telecoms DC and AC power supply systems Configuration and commissioning experience Telecommunications inventory database modelling e.g. Connect Master
What We Value
Bachelor of Engineering or Advanced Diploma A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills Experience within Consulting environment is highly desirable Experience in electrical transmission utility, mining, or industrial sectors is a plus
