An exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to join a leading Not for Profit. The Company Our client is a well-established not-for-profit organisation providing essential services to the community across Queensland. The Role : We are seeking a CA/CPA qualified (or working towards) Financial Accountant to join the Corporate Accounting team. Reporting to the Financial Controller and working closely with the CFO, you will play a critical role in managing various aspects of our finance operations, contributing to efficient financial and accounting practices across the organisation. Key Responsibilities will include: Provide exceptional accounting support to internal and external stakeholders. Manage key balance sheet and profit and loss items, including fixed assets, depreciation, IT stock, motor vehicle fleet, prepayments, and corporate cost allocations. Handle reconciliation and management of control accounts, credit card system maintenance, and integration with the ERP system. Perform balance sheet reconciliations, external rent income tracking, and gift fund account management. Prepare and submit BAS, FBT lodgement calculations, and ABS surveys. Support in the preparation of annual financial statements and external audits, along with monthly management accounts variance analysis. Oversee, and assist where needed, tasks managed by the Finance Officer, including bank reconciliations, debtors, and fleet requirements. Collaborate on process enhancements and value-added initiatives to improve finance processes and outcomes. About You: Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or similar CPA/CA qualified or working towards Proven experience in Financial Accounting, either within a complex corporate environment or Public Practice Practical understanding of Accounting Standards, Corporations Law, FBT & GST Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office suite An ability to work independently, problem solving & improvement mindset What’s on Offer: You will join a values-driven organisation that is dedicated to making a difference.
