Reporting into Schools Sales Manager, the Schools Relationship Manager's role will be to drive, grow and achieve sales targets and build lasting relationship with customers. This role involves identifying new sales opportunities, managing customer relationships, and achieving sales targets. The Schools Relationship Manager will have a strong understanding of the sales process, excellent communication skills, and a passion for meeting and exceeding goals. Key aspects of the role include: Account Management: This role functions as a subject matter expert for new and existing customers, forging trust, and reliability. Your ability to understand their needs, anticipate challenges, and provide innovative solutions will set the tone for enduring partnerships. You will identify/implement business solutions to assist in driving customer revenue. New Business: You will be a fantastic communicator and will have strong networking skills and a fearless attitude towards developing business and networking. You're a quick thinker with the ability to drive new sales opportunities through the development and implementation of business development projects to drive revenue. Customer Engagement : Working with existing clients to develop increased sales within the current network by targeting unrealised potential, training, coaching and motivating customers and their staff to greater sales results. Responsibilities Drive Sales & Promotion : - Drive Sales by developing strategic relationships with both existing and prospective customers. - Contact key decision makers on a systematic basis to ensure maximum exposure of Pearson products and services, and ensure sales calls are strategically targeted to provide results. - Promote Pearson Products at conferences, particularly subject association conferences and in-service activities. - To identify best prospects by maintaining a priority system grading schools utilizing the CRM tool (SFDC) which allows for targeted calling and resulting sales. - Maintain and expand customer base by providing in-service and training support. - Call regularly on booksellers keeping them up-to-date generally with new product and promotions. - Attend and report on conferences and other activities as required. Customer satisfaction is at a high level. - Update CRM tool (SFDC) with names and contacts of key influencers who demonstrate interest in new products and services. Administrative Tasks: - Gathering, monitoring, and evaluating competitor information and providing market feedback to the business to enhance product development and Go-To-Market strategy. Including Providing market feedback to enhance product development for a more customer-focused product. Participating in trade shows and conferences, with agreed outcomes. - Proactive feedback regarding market dynamics, products and services is provided when attending team sales meetings. - Written reports to be submitted as required when requested by management (sales conference reports, specific market research) Key Stakeholder management : - Work closely with the relevant key stakeholder e.g. Marketing Managers, Content team, to gain the appropriate product knowledge - Maintain high-level knowledge of technology-related sales tools including SFDC and power point, one CRM - Work with colleagues collaborate in the field when support is necessary. - Preparation of business reports as required when requested by Management. - Prepare and deliver training sessions at sales meetings and conferences. Qualifications and Experience Education: bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (ideal) Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in sales or a related field, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Skills and Competencies - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Strong Negotiation and closing of sales skills. - Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers. - Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. - Strong Organisational and time management skills. - Results driven with strong desire to achieve and exceed goals.
