Job Title: General Practitioner – Airlie Beach
Practice Information:
They are a mixed billing group practice that has been established for many years and is well respected in the local community and wider region. The entire team work collaboratively. We have a number of private billing and non-Medicare related consults on a daily basis, including pre-employment, Workcover and overseas travellers’ insurance payments.
Position Description:
Position duties include: • Clinic consultations based on medical requirements and clinical appropriateness. • Broad range of medical duties including but not limited to patient assessment, examination, review, diagnosis, and management. • Minor surgical procedures, including but not limited to suturing, foreign body removal, excision, and drainage of abscess and when applicable skin cancer biopsy and removal/excision. • Assessment, planning, investigations, and continuing management of acute and chronic medical conditions, including referral when appropriate and follow up as necessary. • Emergency attendance for injury and urgent medical presentations • GP Management plan for chronic diseases and team care arrangements • Counselling and Mental Health Management Plan • Health Assessments, Diabetes and Asthma Cycle of Care • Antenatal and postnatal care • Child and adolescent health and immunisations • Travel and preventative medicine • Skin Cancer checks, diagnostic and therapeutic excision of skin lesions • Repair of skin wounds and wound care management • Removal of foreign bodies (eye, ears, skin) • Contraception and women’s health • Men’s Health • Continuity of care for all returning patients as well as liaising with both private and public health specialists • Referral to hospital, pathology, radiology or specialised services where appropriate. • Geriatric health and Palliative care (if this is of interest to you)
Qualifications & Experience:
o Minimum of General Registration with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner
