Timely reporting and prompt resolution of queries are essential aspects of the role, ensuring that all requirements are met efficiently. To excel in this position, the Property Accountant must possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication abilities. Flexibility is also crucial for adapting to various tasks. Additionally, the Property Accountant is encouraged to engage in team discussions and initiatives, focusing on enhancing processes and systems within the organization. The Opportunity - Prepare monthly financial pack, including trial balance, P&L commentary vs. budget, and balance sheet reconciliations. - Conduct income and outgoings accruals analysis, ensuring accuracy and completeness. - Provide detailed commentary on actual income/expenditure and explain significant variances from budget/forecast. - Complete and review balance sheet and outgoings reconciliations for Centre Management Team approval. - Assist Property and Facilities Managers with budgeting, forecasting, and support the audit process as needed. About you: - Minimum of 2 years accounting experience, not necessarily in property/real estate. - Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. - Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with management, tenants, and colleagues. - Exceptional time management and organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet multiple deadlines. - Customer service-oriented with a focus on performance outcomes and a keen attention to detail.
