About the Role
This role involves delivering high-quality care to residents, working collaboratively with them, their representatives, and our multidisciplinary team. Timely documentation is essential to meet regulatory standards. Responsibilities include:
* Providing individualised, resident-focused care
* Administering medications
* Committing to ongoing professional development
* Performing various care activities such as social and emotional support, assisting with mobility and nutrition, managing wounds and continence, and ensuring confidentiality
All tasks must align with our organisation's mission, values, policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
Essential Skills and Attributes
* Current APHRA registration as a Medication Endorsed Enrolled Nurse
* Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
* Excellent teamwork abilities
* Extensive, recent experience in residential aged care
* High level of clinical knowledge and experience, including guiding PCWs
* Flexibility and adaptability
* Ability to problem-solve medium to high complexity issues and recognise when to escalate
* Good understanding and interpretation of AN-ACC continuous improvement, risk management, and Health and Safety
* Demonstrated working knowledge of the Aged Care Act and accreditation requirements
