Job Advertisement: Staff Specialist in General PaediatricsLocation: NSWPosition: Permanent Public AppointmentThe HospitalAs a Major Rural Referral Hospital, located on the traditional lands of the Kamilaroi/Gomeroi/Gamillaray people, is the largest healthcare facility in NSW outside the Sydney-Wollongong-Newcastle area, with around 300 beds. Our Paediatric and Adolescent Inpatient Unit serves children in the New England, North West, and Upper Hunter regions and acts as the primary referral centre for the northern sector. Our unit features 18 beds and handles over 2,600 admissions annually across various specialties, including orthopaedics, ophthalmology, dental, gastroenterology, endocrinology, oncology, and mental health. Additionally, our Paediatric outpatient clinic sees around 5,000 patients each year. You will be part of a dedicated team comprising 10 Consultants and 6 Junior Medical Officers, with access to visiting subspecialty outreach clinics covering a wide range of services.
