Location Port Hedland Paid Weekly Roster can be 14/7 or 12/9 12 Hour Days Role Purpose Overseeing work performed by construction contractor teams on execution of construction strategies, standards/ frameworks and integration and interface management across the projects lifecycle to ensure delivery in line with the approved statement of requirements.
Leads others to ensure safety, productivity and engagement.
Accountability with the biggest impact Manages the construction of a clearly defined area of scope (including pre-commitments) in compliance with internal and external governance processes and Global Standard performance requirements, to ensure safe delivery of the scope of work within approved quality, schedule, cost and business case KPIs.
Coordinates implementation of construction strategies, methodologies, systems and execution plans which minimise waste and preserve value.
Explores best fit solutions, takes ownership of decisions and manages value impacts within defined area of scope.
Manages construction risk and constructability within defined area of scope, makes risk informed decisions to identify solutions, uses BHP's risk management framework to support safe and productive performance outcomes.
Optimises construction sequence, monitors the construction schedule /critical path and drives continuous improvement initiatives within a defined area of scope.
Executes quality management plans and reviews site-based quality control activities to enable the achievement of quality objectives within defined area(s) of scope.
Monitors HSS and Environmental compliance and applies appropriate methodologies/standards to deliver effective construction across within defined area of scope.
Ensures the timely delivery of any Owner obligations within defined area of scope - e.g.
access, accommodation, approvals, permits, water, power, free-issue equipment and materials, temporary facilities etc.
Implements best value decision-making to ensure advancement of construction within the defined area of scope while minimising delays and setbacks in the drive to attain project KPI's.
Monitors the construction to ensure that deviations from the execution plan are adequately managed, communicated, mitigated and rectified.
Proactively manages stakeholder relationships within the defined area of scope through timely communication, listening to the voice of the customer, while ensuring their needs, timings, priorities and availability are properly considered and aligned throughout the course of construction.
All tie-ins, testing, start-up and ramp-up are planned and executed to minimise Operational impacts.
Contributes to a continuous improvement and learning environment in which lessons, best practices and bright spots are proactively shared.
Ensures the project is delivered aligned to the BOS Practices.
About You As the successful candidate you will possess the following: Trade Certificate or Project Management Certificate Previous construction experience electrical or mechanical Demonstrated problem-solving abilities to deliver complex solutions Demonstrated experience in construction management, preferably in the heavy mining industry.
Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, mining regulations, and best practices.
